My dearest, dearest Desiree, I really hope that you can get these business ventures on the road and moving. The bows I saw look awesome, and the baby socks will rock! Maybe we can work on getting you a little income to help you stay afloat. I completely understand how frustrating it is for you right now... Hang in there, maybe something will break for you guys.
Desi I think you really have a bad situation with that house. You should not have been paying 3 years of $400/month payments to only pay off $2000. They are screwing you somewhere in the interest. You need to make sure that the payments you send are being applied to the PRINCIPLE. You can do this by writing on your check "Apply against the Principle". That tacks the interest on the end and pays down the amount owed so that the interest is being calculated on a smaller amount. Banks like to apply your payment to the interest first so they can keep you in debt forever. Don't let them.
I hope your money ventures can pan out. If I can advertise for you or help you out in any way I'll be glad to. I want to see you succeed. We are a fine trio, you and Abbie and me... All with families and artistic interests and all wanting to make a bit more money to help us get by. Of the three of us I think I have it easiest but then, I only have one kid to take care of so it's a lighter load. :/ On top of that, my mother in law bought us a house and it's all fully paid for.... So we just have to pay power/water/internet/phone/food etc. We manage on $1000 a month and any income I make on the side will help us along... So my situation is not bad.
I wish I could help you guys more. I can help you set up sites for your crafts. Maybe if we keep our blog network going and grow it we can be a part of a community of SAHMs (Sure, Desi, you can do your "Maaa...." thing) and all of us can help each other succeed. I'll have that forum up in the next few days.
Our defect is that we have a loan through a loan company and not a bank, they charge us like 23. something in interest, and then they have loan fees, and when you're late, which we often unfortunately are, they don't put it towards principle, but fees instead... THEN they just got bought by another company that is more strict about payments and fees... we don't owe enough to get a good bank loan with better interest, which sucks because we don't want a loan for cash, we jsut want a refinance at a better rate (GRRRR)... just sucks, but we couldn't get a better deal since we'd pay just as much to rent, and a bit more to rent a place like we have, so technically this is the same as/better than the alternative because even though they're fucking us, some day in the future we'll own it, or get some random inheritance and pay it all off so... I'm not trippin (I don't have the energy to stress about it, it drains me, so I'm have to shrug it off and continue with the lalala of my daily life, lol).
